Reverend Norma Lynn Felts
|Rev. Norma Lynn Felts was born in Walterboro, South Carolina to Mrs. Eloise Brown and the late Rev. Clarence R. Brown. Upon graduating from high school, she attended Wright State University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering. During her time in college, Rev. Felts began attending Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church of Dayton, Ohio. It was at Wayman Chapel where she truly began to find her personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Rev. Felts attended United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio where she received her Master of Divinity Degree. She served as a Youth Minister at Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church in Dayton for 5 years. In 2008, she was ordained an Elder in the A.M.E. Church and in 2009 she was appointed pastor of Christ Our Redeemer A.M.E. Church in Dayton, Ohio where she served for 7 years. On December 1, 2016, Rev. Felts was appointed as our pastor at Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church.
Rev. Felts loves to teach and has a love for working with children to help them understand the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Rev. Felts served as secretary of the Dayton Methodist Ministerial Alliance for 6 years. She currently serves on the Board of Examiners and as a Conference Trustee of the Ohio-South Ohio Conference.
Rev. Felts is married to Chris Felts. They are the proud parents of one daughter, Chrissy, who is married and resides in Maryland and one son, Christopher, currently attending Wright State University.
